Has anyone heard from St. Mary's or know when interview invitations are going out?

Re: St. Mary's

I haven't heard from them yet, either. Someone told me invites should be extended by the end of April. I read on the website that they interview in May and June so that should be fairly true. GL!

Re: St. Mary's

Okay, I just got a letter in the mail from St Mary's. It said they had over 190 applicants, had a hard time selecting the class, etc etc. I didn't get in or on the waiting list. But wait--what about THE INTERVIEWS??! I don't get it. The letter implied that they already selected the class (they gave avg GPAs, exp, etc of the selected individuals), but how could they have already interviewed everyone they wanted to and selected already? I mean the application deadline was only 20 days ago. It doesn't add up to me. Am I crazy or does this seem odd?

Huh? That almost seems like the wrong letter was sent to you. I didn't get anything in the mail today but will let you know what mine says. It may be a good idea to call the school. This does seem very odd.

Re: St. Mary's

I thought it was weird!! I think I'll give them a call on Monday just to check in out. But please do keep me posted on what you hear from them/what your letter says if you get one.
Thanks Badger!

Re: St. Mary's

Saint Mary's have waiting lists that carries over the next year. So they probably have enough students from last year's application to fill in for this year..but it's always good to call 'em to check it out.

Re: St. Mary's

I got the same letter, brookesbuddy. I guess we both suck.

You're right...it's very strange to get that letter as it appears to be the "regrets" letter they send out AFTER interviews. I'm guessing it's an automation issue and they meant to send out the "other" regrets letter, the one that says we didn't get an interview. Who knows. I'll also call on Monday to figure out what's really going on. I'll share what I find out here as soon as I know it.

Re: St. Mary's

I got the same letter. I also though it strange, the wording and all. I really thought that I had a chance getting an interview having interviewed and been placed on the waiting list for MSA. Both you guys let me know what you find out.

Re: St. Mary's

I just got off the phone with someone from admissions. Apparently, it's the correct letter. She said that is, in fact, the letter they send out for the first round of cuts. She then volunteered information that the reason I didn't receive an interview is because I have less than one year of ICU experience (I'm actually coming up on a year and a half, the first year in MICU and the last four months in SICU...).
