Sponsorship and Grants

I'm a Nurse Practitioner trying to figure out how to afford to go back to school. I have wanted to be a CRNA since I was in my Associates Nursing program. Is anyone aware of any grants, unusual loan programs, anesthesia group sponsorships, etc? I can do this only if I can find a way to replace part of my income while in school. A part-time job won't bring enough for school, mortgage, teenager, and the like. I'd appreciate any suggestioins or ideas out there.

Re: Sponsorship and Grants

Hi, I am trying to figure out how I will afford it as well and here is what I have decided: I am going to apply to my favorite schools and once I get accepted I will contact an anesthesia group or hospital where I plan to live after CRNA school. I have heard that sometimes anesthesia groups will sponsor you once you have been accepted to a school, but of course there are strings attached. I figure it will be worth it if I can go to school without the constant worry about money, plus I will have a job waiting on me where I want to live. I would try to spend some time shadowing a CRNA already employed by my sponsor to see what I was getting into before I signed anything though. Hope this helps. Good luck!
