I started school the beginning of May, as I am sure several others did. How is it going? It is about as I expected loads of class work. I do three mentoring days in the OR this summer then start clinical in October. I have found my schools staff well organized; they had a binder of info pertaining to the clinical requirements and maps to the hospitals. They set up tours through each of the three hospitals were we will be working. This was alot different from my bsn program, which did not seem to know what direction they were going much less what to inform me about. The upperclassmen have been extremely helpful throughout the process as well. My two favorite things so far my name badge with srna and anesthesia on it and seeing my expected grad date 8/14/08.

My advice for the rest of you guys starting in Aug relax over the summer I wish I had taken more time off work before classes started. I worked up until May 1st moved 800+ miles over the next few days with the wife and kids then started class on the 8th with most of my household goods still in boxes. Do not fret over financial aid it seems like it well never work out. I was sweating it up until class started then within about 5 days my bank account balance was $50,000 just remember you are worried way more than the lending institution about getting a check in your hand and they move slow, but the do get it to you.

oops i guess i mistyped the title lol

Re: SNRA newbies

Berry,

So looking forward to the name badge! Awesome. I am also looking forward to the class work. I miss it. I know that sounds strange but I like having to know something within a prestructured timeframe.

Thanks for the post. Keep them coming...do a journal for us! Ha Ha, like you'll have time.

Glad to hear everything is going good up there. Nothing much going on down here. Can't wait to start in August. Any one else on here going to Goodings?

Keep me posted Berry.
