Re: Should I wait? please advise!

Jadam,

I would not hesitate to get your CCRN, though some programs dont require it, it can do nothing but help you in several ways. work will usually pay for it, some places will give you a little raise for having it. plus it looks good on your resume, shows you are a go getter and looking to improve and expand your knowledge. Also its a good refresher, I also work in the MICU, and reviewing for the ccrn, touches on stuff that you might not deal with in the micu setting, of which is always a possibility of coming up in an interview.

Should I wait to apply, or go ahead and apply now? I'm debating, as I think more time in my BSN program (I'm in my 1st of two years) will help to prove my academic ability, and I think having my CCRN would also be beneficial to applying - but I don't really enjoy thinking about waiting another year, or two - esspeicially since I want to provide a better life for my family than I can just working as an RN. Any help?

Apply NOW.. I was completing my BSN when I was admitted.

The CCRN actually carries a lot of wight in some programs.. DO IT.
