Really Important! Need Advice, Pre Crna

HI, I am intersted in becoming a CRNA. I am working in the ICU right now. I just recieved a scholarship that requires a two year work commitment upon graduationfor 10, 000 and a one year commitment for 5,000. NEWAYS, my question is, should i work two years after graduation and then apply to the graduate program, because I wanted to just work the minimum of one and then apply and hopefully go back to school sooner? Does it look bad to only have one year of critical care experience?, or does it matter? I just dont know what I should do?

what others did, or just any advice in general? THANKS

I don't think that it looks bad having one year exp. that is not really the question of concern. What you need to be concerned with is that 1) your 1 yr. exp is significant in preparing you to move on to bigger & better things 2) What do the programs you plan on applying to think about just 1 yr. exp. Yes the min. requirement is 1 yr. but what does that program typically admit.
With all that said once you have all the requirements it never hurts to apply because you really never know who you are competing against to get in to that particular program.
-On the scholarship, always can take it, worse case you have to pay it back, because if you don't get in your first go around you may wish that you would have accepted it.
