one bad grade in grad school!!

Ok so i have a BS degree in physiology and a MS degree in basic medical sciences. There was one irrelevant class i took in my masters (toxicology) that i did poorly in.. meaning i got below a 2.5 because the class was virtually impossible and taught by someone that barely spoke english. I'm pretty sure toxicology isnt a prereq for nursing school or crna school.. I only took this class to stay full time as a grad student in order to receive student loans. Will this really hurt me if all other classes and gpa are above a 3.0 overall??

Re: one bad grade in grad school!!

None of the schools I interviewed with cared about my non-nursing degrees. I don't think it will matter. They're going to focus on your nursing GPA and some state that they only focus on your last 60 credits in your BSN program.

Re: one bad grade in grad school!!

You probably have so many credits now that you on your third degree, a C in toxiocology is irrelevent. I had a C in a BSN nursing course and another in stats and still made it. I think that having a multiple degrees helps as well. I didn't have a high GPA or GRE but I did have 2 degrees and solid ICU experience. Having a Masters I would almost gaurantee that you get accepted on the first go around once you get some good experience.
