Has anyone had any experience with Newman University in Kansas. I live in Colorado and there are no programs here. I am trying to decide where to apply and I am hoping that someone has insight into Newman.

Very family friendly program, most students are parents. The staff seems to be very knowledgeable. Just call them and ask them what they suggest you do to get in.

I interviewed there. It seems like a decent program that has a high value on family values w/ some very nice people. The interview wasn't bad and Wichita seemed like a decent place. The school is very small and they accept 12 people I believe.

The interview at Newman is done with one MD and 6-7 CRNA's - most of them holding positions on KANA. They ask clinical, personal, and ethical questions. They interview 40 people and this year are opening the program to 16 students. The program is set up with didactic and clinicals combined. I have known RN's with 15 years of ICU experience who didn't get in, but RN's with as little as 1 year will. GOOD LUCK!
