Question Need help choosing!

Hey guys, I'm new here, and kinda bummed I am, looks like there is some great info on this site!

So, here's my dilemma....After months of stressing and wigging out over trying to get into a CRNA program, I did it!! YAY! But, the problem? I actually got into two different programs. #1 Northeastern in Boston, and #2 University of Texas in Houston. I presently live in the Boston area, but I'm from Houston (and the fam is still down there). I'm stressing bigtime over the decision because from what I've heard so far, they are very different programs. Does anyone have any advice or know any specifics on either program that might help me make a decision??

Thanks! And congrats to everyone that made it in this year!!:hatparty:

Re: Need help choosing!

I have a friend in my program who has a good friend at Northeastern. I will ask him when I see him in class this week what his friend says about it and get back to you.

Re: Need help choosing!

You should really write down all there is about each program and put them side by side and compare the pro's and con's of each one. Really you want to go where you think you will get the best education and clinical exp but also and program that is not gonna put you in a bind with freq relocations ect and also want a stable and established program that has numbers to back all they say.

Re: Need help choosing!

Thanks guys, I know, this sounds kinda like a whiney problem, I just want to make the right decision, I honestly didn't expect to get into one of the programs, so I got caught a little off-guard with this "dilemma". I'm so excited, but I'll let you know what I decide (I have to decide by Tuesday!). Thanks for the well wishes!

Re: Need help choosing!

If cost of living is a factor, seeing that you won't be working much, if at all, Houston is the obvious choice, plus the family is there.

Just my 2 cents.
