Need Advice From Current Barry Students

I just found out that I was accepted to Barry University and will be starting in Jan. I would like advice about preparing for the first semester courses. I have six months to read and review any materials that would help me. I want to be able to focus on material relevant to this program. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

IMHO--
Don't stress about it too much. I tried to read M&M prior to start, but couldn't keep my mind on it (let alone understand). They'll come at you fast and hard in Jan, but you can get everything you need once classes actually start. I would enjoy your time now (and maybe do a little overtime).

I did take the pre-course. I didn't like spending $1000 on it, but the info was good, kindof got you thinking in that direction and just in general opened the ideas. I also was of the opinion that if I needed help at some point during the program, I didn't want them to be able to say, "well didn't you take the pre-course?" Or imply that I wasn't committed because I didn't want to spend the money. However, I knew quite a few students that didn't take it and they didn't seem to be at a loss. For me, I'm glad I took it.

Good luck to you. Enjoy your last few months before it starts. The staff is great for the most part, caring, helpful and knowledgeable. It's tough, it's intimidating. But just put one foot in front of the other. One exam to the next. And 28 months will go by before you know it.

.

Thanks for the reply, one of my concerns is that I have not taken Organic or Biochem. I did really well in Intro to Chem, Chem 1, and Chem 2. Has anyone thats allready taken the Chemistry portion of a CRNA program noticed a big difference between the students that had allready taken Organic or Biochem verses the ones who didn't ?
