Loans for Out of State

I am moving to North Carolina in a few months and plan to attend CRNA school there. Has anyone applied for loans for CRNA school that was applying out of state? Is it still relatively easy to get loans? Does it make it harder to get accepted if you are not considered a resident yet? Thanks in advance for your reply.

Re: Loans for Out of State

I am a CNS, not a CRNA, but I went to grad school out of state and had no problem with student loans, so I don't know why it would be any different for you. My school (out of state) helped me with the loan application process, in advance (before I moved to attend school). I also was accepted into a state-funded scholarship program in my (permanent) home state that helped pay for me to go to school out of state, on the condition that I returned home after school (which I was going to do anyway) and worked in my home state.

Re: Loans for Out of State

hi guys. I'm from NY and will be starting at VCU this fall. I will be paying as an out-of-state resident and I'm really hoping that I could pay for tuition, extra living expenses and everything else with just my Stafford and Graduate Loan Plus (both federal). I hope I won't have to apply for a private loan, but in case I really have to then there is really nothing i can do. as they say, it will all be worth it in the end. goodluck to all!
