I know that this is a challenging cirriculum - but I just need some insights that have "been there, done that".
The reason I ask is because after being a nurse for 12 years (ER mostly) - I am finding myself more interested in this profession.
However, I have had back surgery (artificial disc replacement) at 2 levels (lumbar). That was 2 years ago. I'm now back to baseline, working in an ER and will be finishing an MBA by the end of this school year.
I am more concerned about the
physical rigors of training than anything else at this point. Is it any different that working the ICU or ER?
I know, I know - I need ICU experience - I plan on starting that next experience once I graduate the MBA program.....then, the dreaded GRE......I have had a masters level stats class and will refresh with the chem and biochem.
But back to the main question.....how physical is it? Is it a back breaker? How much weight do you all have to "dead lift"??? - I mean other than the books
I don't work in an area that employs nurse anesthesists.
