As far as the school at which the BSN (OR ADN) was obtained, I don't htink it matters one bit... at all.. period. The hospital experience you choose will matter the most. As I was told at the begfinning of my interview, the anesthesia school probes the minds of its applicants to see what they know, and how they apply their knowledge. They are not in the business of teaching their students how to be good ICU nurses. You whould already have accomplished that before you apply. Choose a hospital that has good volume and regular high census of patients. Also, choose a hospital that will give you a great preceptorship in critical care, and one that will allow you to manage tough cases. This is the only way to become proficient in critical care (By doing it yourself!).
BSN, or ADN w/ lifesciences degrees are viewed on an open end equal field by most CRNA schools. It matters most what the applicant brings to the program on the applicant's own merit.
