Red face Advice for shadowing a CRNA

I am in between starting a new job in an ICU in my hometown, and would like to shadow a CRNA. Does any SRNA's have advice on the best way to go about in finding a CRNA to shadow from past experiences. I really don't have any contacts at the moment. (Just finished up a traveling positon and moving back home.) THANKS for the help!!

Re: Advice for shadowing a CRNA

Call a group in your town and ask! I have never been treated unkindly by any CRNAs. On the contrary, in general, they are more than eager to promote the career and give you advice.

One day at work, a CRNA was up in the unit to intubate a patient. At the end of it, while he was charting a note, I just asked where he had gone to school and that I was applying to some programs. He just got a big grin on his face and launched into all kinds of great info. I thought he would be too busy or whatever. But he stayed and talked to me for half an hour.

Don't be shy now. Just pick up the phone.
