Quiet1,
I forgot to answer your previous questions:
1) I have an application pending at Westminster College here in Salt Lake City--no interviews until like Feb. '08--it is my second choice out of neccessity and I see it as a "just in case" scenario. It is a newer program and is fraught with potential complications--the clinical sites are mostly in other states etc., plus it is pricey even for CRNA school. However, it is mostly front-loaded and the didactic portion on campus is like 1.25 miles from my house. If my wife was not tied to Law School at U. of Utah, Westminster would not have likely made my top 5-7 list. UC became available to me only because my wife can transfer credit from UC's Law School back to Utah (she will be only 17 sem hrs short of her degree when we start in Fall '08 (she has been working ahead).
2) The ironic beauty in this whole situation for me UC would still be my top choice in any year because of the strength of the clinical component, the track record of the program, and the fact that we will have 4 sets of parents/step-parents within 1-2 hrs. drive to help us out when need be.
3) Gonzaga in Spokane, WA would have been #2 but when I got the interview at UC I decided to just see how things were going to go (they start in Jan. and I was not excited about trying to sell my house over winter and move two young kids over mountains in Dec.--plus it is a tiny program with a grueling interview process

). I was also seriously looking at a school near Asheville, NC (Western Carolina) because it had a Jan. start date too. I had another short list of schools that start in May/June (all based on start dates to facilitate getting going). But hey...UC is win win win for me
