Stressin, BIG time!!!

I recently moved to Indianapolis and just started my first nursing job at a nursing home. I'm so overwhelmed. I feel like I'm not doing anything right and I feel just plain stupid. I don't know what to do. I'm not sure if its me or if its the facility, or what. Does anyone have any helpful advice for me or any tips that will help me become a good nurse?? I would appreciate it!

Re: Stressin, BIG time!!!

Heres my humble opinion:
Nursing homes are not a good place for a new nurse. My clinical experience in school taught me that.
I would recommend finding a position in a hospital setting to start. I am a new grad, and have worked on a cardiac/med-surg unit for 10 months. I love it! I had a good orientation, great staff to work with, and I can learn while not feeling overwhelmed most of the time (there are still days when I question my decision), and if I need help I get it.
