I started on sunday night an 11-7 that place was dirty and the young lady that was orientating me kept saying bring someone with you when you get your narcs they have been having alot come up missing. The LTC iwent to constantly has an ad in the paper. The DON did not even give me a tour she just asked me if I could go to the bathroom. They have not gave me a schedule I just know I work wed, thu, fri this week. They have no direct deposit. I live 30 min away. Drive does not bother me. They have mandatory meetings at 1pm and 2pm so if you work night shift you have to come or you get wrote up. Now if I just got off at 7am I have to go back to the meeting at 1pm or 2pm. Then go home and come back at 11pm does that make since. I came from a facility in another state and they made their meetings for all shifts. They never have enough help and my first day they had 2 nurses quit. I was scared to use the bathroom their. As soon as I left I ran to the gas station. I got the first 3 jobs I applied for this I took first because they called me first was I and idiot or what. The other facility I came from was so clean you could eat of the floor not that I would but you get my point. I got on PRN at a LTC that the hospital owns I love that place so clean oh my!!!! The DON offered me a 3-11 but I could not do it cuz of my girls. They hardly have people quit that is what I want. The other facility offered me an 7-3 and a 11-7 I am waiting on them to finish my background check etc. you know the routine. SO TELL ME WHAT WOULD YOU DO??????

I would change my mind...politely tell them you accepted another position. Seriously...how could you work somewhere you would not go to the bathroom in??

Work in a place where the person orienting you tells you to bring a witness when you get/give controlled substances because stuff disappears? You need a witness? What do you want? To become someone else's scapegoat and have to defend your license before the board because you are accused of stealing the stuff? You can't go to the bathroom because it is so filthy? I would be unemployed before I went to work there any longer. Like was said, tell them you have decided on another opportunity and don't go back.

I think that the writing is on the wall, and rather than go in tonight, I would be relaxing in bed with a newspaper turned to the want ads.

Run....there are a million better, safer and cleaner jobs out there.... there's no reason to risk your hard-earned license.
