PBDS testing

I need info on this kind of testing...heard very few nurses pass it

Do a search on here for PBDS...there is alot of information on here about testing...I hate that test...took it twice and failed both times at the hospital I use to work at...they were going to take me off the Oncology floor and let me work med-surg...because if you did not pass the test..you could not work a critical care unit...so I left...because Oncology is where I wanted to be at the time.

Hi Tweety-
I know that this is an old post, but I wondered if you got the type of response that you were looking for. I actually took it and passed it the first time, and didn't have to do the re-test, but I really don't think that the test measures any amt of knowledge (kind of like the NCLEX!). My advice to you is when taking the test, be VERY specific...list everything that you would do (like start O2, turn off med, take vital signs..). Even though all of that is very obvious, that's what they are looking for. Good luck!
