Well, I've actually been a nurse for about a 18 months now, but I still haven't worked a day. When I graduated I was pregnant and wanted to spend time with my new baby. So my alternative was to continue my education and get my BSN and then my MSN. The problem is I want to go to work and get some experience and I am terrified. I feel like I will be looked at differently since I have had my RN for a while, but I feel like I know less now then I did when I graduated since I am not using my skills. Any suggestions?

Re: not yet working

I would suggest at least trying to get a part time job somewhere. Its true you will lose your skills if u havent already. Im willing to bet since its been going on 2 years since u graduated, a lot of places would want u to take a refresher course before hiring you. Did you just finish your masters? Im sure some places would understand you have been continuing your education as a reason.
