New RN with new job

I passed my boards last week and this past Monday I started my new job. So far it has all been orientation and classroom stuff, tomorrow is my first day on the floor. ( Telemetry). I have been assigned to a preceptor and she seems pretty nice and approachable. I have never worked in a hospital before...I was a LPN before I got my RN/BSN but my background is LTC. I have so much to learn!
The hospital where I am working has launched a big program to encourage the staff to b e supportive and friendly to each other. They just recently asked a Doc to leave the facility because he was treating the nurses so badly.
Well wish me luck and courage and brains! lol

Re: New RN with new job

Hope you do really well, Sherry. I think your LTC experience will be helpful when you are trying to prioritize and do several things at once!
Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!
