Is Med-Renal a good place to start as a new grad?

Just wondering whether med-renal is a good place to start. I'm concerned that I won't get the "surg" experience dealing with dressings, post-op patients, etc. Any input?

Re: Is Med-Renal a good place to start as a new grad?

Hey there, I am a new grad working on a med-surg floor; mostly renal and respiratory patients. We still get our over flow of surg patients and various other things. I have learned so much working on this floor. I think you'll get a lot of excellent experience working on a medical renal floor.
