How out of state? ONe state over? across country?

at the hospital i work at, if you live more than 50 miles from the hospital, they pay your hotel room to stay there while you work. they also pay a relocation fee, to help you move there.
Look into hte hospitals where you are moving to, see if they offer anything like that.

HI! I graduated in December 2004 and I'm working in a very busy ED. It's not a trauma center--thank goodness for me, because I'm learning so much right now I can't imagine trying to handle traumas at this point!

Other places I can see myself are oncology and perhaps the OR. But eventually I think I'll go back to school for a Master's in Acupuncture.

It's half-way across the country. Hoping my house sells soon!

Hi, I'm Amanda. I graduated in May of 2004, took boards sometime last June. I'm right at the end of my first year, but I still feel like a newbie. I work in L&D/High Risk Antepartum.

I just passed boards and start orientation on the surgical floor on July 18. I can't wait, but at the same time, I'm scared to death! So glad this forum was started...

I graduated August 2004, took my boards in October. There is not a single shift that goes by that I don't learn something new. Good luck to all the new Grads.

Hello! I graduated with my BSN May 21st, and will take NCLEX July 1! I'm excited but mostly nervous about it! After I pass, I will start my job on a med/surg/tele floor that I did my senior student internship on last semester. I can't wait to start!

P.S. I really love this forum! Great idea!

You go girl (or guy!)!!!!!!!!!!! I'm soooo jealous. I graduated with honors in May 2005, passed The Boards on 6/2 with 75 questions, and cannot find work. All the internships were full back in April, and Yours Truly was too superstitious to go for one of them. Eh, live and learn....

Congrats to all of you! Wishing you much success in your new careers!

Live, laugh, love,
Jenny
