I have a few questions for you all

When I become a mom I want to stay at home. Soooo....whats the best time to work? I was thinking on friday night 7pm-7am and Saturday 7pm-7am that way I could sleep on sunday and my husband could of course keep the kids so we wouldn't have to do daycare. What do you think? Also I want to work in L&D what is the patient to nurse ratio on this? And if anyone works on L&D can you please be specific as to what you do? thanks

My mom was the bread winner of our family for most of our childhood after my father became disabled following brain surgery. She only worked the night shift, but 8 hour shifts. She slept while we were in school. She tried to lie down for an hour or two before going in to work, but there were 5 of us kids and we were sometimes merciless about disturbing her. After we were all out of the house, she continued working nights so she could be home during the day with my father who often needed assistance with things. I worked at a hospital that had a weekend program. A lot of the people working the weekend program were moms with kids at home or students.
