Hey Ya'll
I'm asking for help from some expeirenced nurses who can provide me with some sort of direction to go in. I graduated in may and was a good student. I took some time to travel before starting a Job on a pedatric Hematology/oncology unit.e I absolutely loved it. I was struggling though with learning all the new things and trying to get everything done in a timely maner. My manger resigned shortly after I started and there was a change in the unit educator. I had meetings with the educator regularly and she never voiced any concerns that I wasn't progressing as I should but one day the a manger from another unit who i barely knew and the educator called me in for a meeting which i thought was the planned meeting that we always had and asked me to resign or they would eventually be forced to fire me . I know that they were concerned about the safety of the patients as was I but I was just praying things would get better. Anyway now I'm without a job and scared but I don't want to totally give up on nursing yet. I really enjoy getting to know my patients and families in a personal way. seeing the same patients often is something I enjoy. I also like peds patients but don't mind working with adults either. I looking for something less intense but that still help me to become a good nurse.I also like fitness and health education of any kind.
