However, I'm suppose to meet with the Dr. that I will be working for tomorrow. I'm just really torn as to what to do. I've been given advice to stick with my current job for a year from some and others (including my husband) are saying go for the office job. I'm currently trying to decide whether to call the office and beg off from the interview tomorrow. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated. I guess I'm fearful that I won't get the office job. I don't want to do a disservice to this doctor. He is wonderful, but I'm afraid I may be underqualified for the position.
I think it does take a year or more to really get comfortable in your skills .But as I posted to another thread-you'll be tooling along feeling really competent and proud of yourself and then you'll up and do something stooopid. That's nursing for you-in any setting..Highest of the highs to the lowest of the lows-we all go through it....I can't help you with your decision-too many variables (pay? duties?back-up?") But-I would stay in the hospital for a yr for the experience....
