It's a predictor, but not very similar to NCLEX, especially not the latest test formats. NCLEX has alot of 'select all that apply' questions now, and priority questions. Also fill in the blank math questions.
I think you still need to study as much as you can for NCLEX, from an NCLEX type book like Saunders, if you haven't yet, before trying the NCLEX.
I know some people who got a very high score on the ATI and didn't pass NCLEX the first time.
