advice books

I am gonna start my first job as a new RN in Jan,

and I was looking on the web for those "advice" books.
I found:
, ,, , .

anyone own these advice books?

will you please tell me if it is worth buying one for a new nurse like me.

I ordered one thru half.com, and the seller just contacted me that the book is no longer available, so I will try amazon.com for their used book section.....
but anyways, I just want to know if it is a waste of time and money to get one of these books.

and which one do you recommend as the best?

thank you!!

Re: advice books

A friend of mine has the "Everything New Nurse Book", and I've peeked through it and it looks helpful!

I bought "A Cup of Comfort for Nurses" and it is one of those tear-jerker kind of books, that reminds you why you went into nursing, but not really any advice to offer.

I usually go to a bookstore and check out books, then look online for a better deal! (usually Amazon!)

awesome! thank you for your response.

when I was in nursing school, I bought "journal for nursing students" and it was great, it told me advice on what to expect during clinicals, and how to manage my time when studying... and things like "don't be late to clinicals! ".... little things like that... I know they are common sense, but I like it anyways.
