1st pregnancy

How did you feel with your 1st pregnancy before you knew for a fact you were pregnant? I think I may be pregnant and am waiting to take a pregnancy test.

Re: 1st pregnancy

how come your waiting to test-most tests let you know the day or even a few days before the your period is due. i am 7 weeks and only had some minor breast changes w/ mild nausea in the am and sometimes during the day. if your are or are trying make sure your eating right and taking atleast 400mcg of folic acid a day. good luck!

Re: 1st pregnancy

What makes you think you may be pregnant? You probably know the regualar signs/symptoms. Is that what you are having?

Lots of people think they may be pregnant because they are late for their period. But if you are under some kind of stress, then your body will ovulate later. Technically, you would't be late if you ovulated later, but your cycle would be longer.

If your wanting to try a home pregnancy test, the dollar stores and walmart have the cheapest, and suprisingly, the most accurate tests. Also, for fun, check your temperature tomorrow morning. Do it before you get out of bed, or move about. Believe it or not, your very first sign of pregnancy will be temperature. The nausea, vomiting, polyuria, etc...they all come after you're a week or two late, which is on average about 5-6 weeks along.

Just in case, get on a prenatal, don't smoke, and stay away from ibuprofen!

Re: 1st pregnancy

We were trying to get pregnant both times so I think that I was super aware of my body. I also tested when I was only 2 days late (which wasn't unusual for me to be late).

My husband said he knew that I was pregnant before I tested because I was VERY moody. The only sign that I got before I found out that I was preggers was breast tenderness. All the other s/s came about 2 weeks later.

Good luck
Erin

Re: 1st pregnancy

I got the digital read out kind and took it 1-2 days before my period would have started. Got that big fat positive nice and early and didn't have to look for faint little lines. That was for my last child

Before I tested for my first one I knew already. I was excited, only way to describe it.

Re: 1st pregnancy

When I was pregnant, I was VERY EXHAUSTED! I barely had the energy to get through the day. I was so busy with a new job, that I hadn't noticed I had missed 1 period and spotted with the one before that. It finally dawned on me when I was already 11 weeks along. DUH! LOL!

Re: 1st pregnancy

I knew I was preggers before my period was even due. I had a faint line on the pregnancy test before I was due for my period as well. I was nauseus, and very tired. My breasts ached. And grew.... Then the fun started about 2 weeks later... The vomiting, severe exhaustion, acne, breasts more than doubling in size, and general malaise. I looked and felt like total crap. Thankfully most of that stopped after the 3 month mark. Then the headaches started for the next 3 months. I felt super during the last trimester, other than an achy back and having to pee every 30 seconds, lol. But I felt great. I did manage to exercise every day during my pregnancy, so maybe that is why I had a super easy third trimester. I did not mind being pregnant at the end, other than having to pee and looking like the side of a house and not being able to wear normal shoes or my wedding rings.(edema). I hope that you have an easy pregnancy and delivery!

THis is so embarassing but I had really bad gas
and I was eating everything I could get my hands on!

Nausea and M/S didn't happen until 8/9 weeks.

Re: 1st pregnancy

I wanted a McDonald's cheeseburger! The craving was so intense and I did not eat meat at that time!!!
As I was scarfing down my second cheeseburger (while feeling disgusted because I was eating meat), my work partner sat there and laughed, "You're pregnant!!" THAT was when it dawned on me.
Same dang guy guessed my second pregnancy before I even knew also. He's got a skill!
