In need of clarification

I am currently doing my pre-reqs to apply for the Associates Nurse program, however when i graduate I want to continue school to become a NP. I noticed there are several schools that offer RN- MSN programs, and I was interested in UCF. I was wondering if someone could answer some questions.

1. Are these generic MSN programs or are they programs that specialize in the NP program?
2. If they are generic programs, are there any RN-MSN programs that will specialize in NP? or do you have to get your MSN first and then apply to a specialty program?
3. How many total years of school, Full time? or Part Time?

I know I am far away from that goal but I will be approx 45-46 when I graduate nursing school and want to have an idea of how many more years of school after that. I figured I will be about 51 when I'm done.

Any info will be appreciated

Re: In need of clarification

hmm..I don't know for sure about that specific program at UCF but most specialty NP programs require some experience to be accepted. so good chance they are generic.
