Hi,

I am just wondering, what were your statistics that helped you get into Grad school. I am just trying to inquire, so I can have a better idea where my GPA and GRE scores should be like in order to get into a competitive grad school. If you don't mind can you post the schools you got accepted schools. I specifically interested in people who got accepted to CNM, FNP and Women Health Programs.Info about experience would be great too.

I haven't gotten the letter but was told by my advisor that I am almost certainly guaranteed admission into my school's FNP program.

GPA 3.95
GRE 1240
Resume- No nursing experience, will have almost one year at start of program (and attending part-time while I continue to work).

I only applied to one MSN-acute care NP program: UMASS Worcester & I was accepted and started the program this past August '06. My GRE score was a 1020 combined, and my GPA from my undergrad nursing BSN program was 3.97. I have been working as an RN since July 2005 for experience, on a med/surg/tele unit. Other than that I have a BS and MS in biology and used to work as a biology research assistant in another life.

I applied to Emory University (in Atlanta) for Fall 2003 in there PCP propgram with a 3.8 (I think, I graduated Magna Cum Laude) GPA, my GRE was not great 1050 and I had 5 years pediatric nursing experience. I had no trouble getting in at all. If I had done better on my GRE's though I could have gotten more scholarship money. Good Luck!

Hi there,

GPA 3.8~
GRE 1060 v+q and 4.5 aw
experience, pct/cna for 15+ years, child care, nursing homes, hospitals, undergrad in soc with psych minor and associates in bio
letters of recommendation and a the essay were helpful too

Try not to worry too much, it is hard to wait but, you can do this.
