Its being held at the Claremont Resort & Spa. I'm missing one of my classes that night to come up and stay the night, then taking the super early flight back home the next day as to not miss work. I think you should reconsider and ditch your class if it won't hurt your grade

I'm really looking forward to meeting alumni to get the real dish on the programs...pros and cons!

Ahh, that's right! I sooo wish I could, but I have a lab practicum that night, so unfortunately I can't miss it. Such a shame! Let me know how it goes!

Just wanted to post this from the JHUSON website regarding another Fall Reception...

Fall Reception in Boston - October 13, 2007
Join Marjorie Fass from the Office of Admissions and Student Services, Melinda Rose from the Alumni Office and faculty member Lori Edwards for a wonderful opportunity to learn about the Baccalaureate, Master's and Doctoral programs and celebrate our affiliation with Peace Corps.

So this post isn't totally JHU specific, but I took the GRE today and I'm so relieved its finally over! JHU and Columbia were the only schools who required it, and I wouldn't have taken it otherwise (yet, anyway). I got the score I was hoping for, a combined 1200, so I'm happy Now I just have to wait for one more recommendation to be completed so I can get that application package in the mail!

Katie,

I prepared for two months, using the Princeton Review and Kaplan review texts (with accompanying CDs). I took six full-length practice tests and definitely worked on more quantitative than verbal. You can download the ETS Powerprep software from ETS.org and I found those tests to be the best score predictors. My official score was ten points higher than the two practice tests I took from ETS. I'm anticipating my analytical score though, I feel I did well, but have to wait for 10-15 days for those to be sent via mail.

Good luck!

Update: Whew, I managed a 5.0 on the Analytical. That was the portion I was dreading the most! Now its all officially over!
:biere:

Well I'm mailing off both the JHU and the Columbia application packages today, what a relief that this is all over! Now the waiting begins. Anyone else applying early decision for either Acc or Trad BSN at JHU? Good luck everyone!

Just scheduled my phone interview with JHU for Monday 11/12, wish me luck! (I've heard its rather low-key, and very low-stress, but its still an interview, so best foot forward and all.) Anyone else scheduled for an interview, yet?

Re: Any Johns Hopkins (JHU) BSN/MSN 2008 applicants?

I'm still debating whether I should schedule a phone interview or an in-person interview. Either way...I'm ecstatic about it! Has anyone heard anything else about the JHU interviews?

Good luck to all!
