no, i live in the SF bay area. i would like to think that the letters didn't go out in any particular order, but now it really seems like the acceptances went out first...

That's kinda how I'm feeling. I'm thinking of leaving town for the weekend and just forgetting about all this till Monday. I got the mail today, but there was no letter .

good luck tomorrow in your interview maybemaybenot! i agree with pretzelpug that it is most productive to think of our status as a sign of what is meant for each of us. before i headed home to check my mail yesterday someone told me "no matter what the letter says, you will still have a happy life." simple, but true and uplifting.

Great you found a program that is a good fit for you- it is 2 years of your life. I wish you much success and happiness at USD. I will definitely put it on my list for next application go-around.

thanks for the encouragement lucy! hopefully we will hear by tomorrow nursinstudenthopeful and others! i'm not going to think about any of this tonight...i'll post if i should come across some good news tomorrow...if not, i'll probably be crying in a corner at home... anyways, until tomorrow! have a good weekend everyone!

Good luck at USD. I'm sure that you will enjoy it. I applied there as well, but was turned down. It looked like a very good program. However, it would have been a killer of a daily drive for me from Irvine, plus I don't want to pay private tuition if I can help it. What disheartened me so much was that I wasn't even granted an interview. That tells me already that I am not a top tier candidate for any school. However, your application, particularly your statement of purpose essay may catch someone on the admissions committee's eye as a unique candidate. That is what I am hanging my hat on.

Yes I'm sure that you have a great application, they just went with something else, maybe it was some prior health care experience? I'm not sure. I am working to get a master's right now too, so that might have helped. Good luck!

OMG, I can't believe what happened! I was told they didn't have my resume so I emailed it to Shelli. I got an email back saying that they couldn't download it. So I faxed it. Well I just called her and she said they were not able to review it because they never got my resume. So I guess that's it. I'm a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. I guess I was not meant to be in that program. I'm just happy to know. Call her too, the relief is worth hearing the news IMO.

Moral of the story: Get you materials in EARLY & follow-up to make sure they are received!!
