RN seeks opinion on records release

I work in long term care and want to know others' policies on records release to DPOAs. Some DPOAs have requested copies of lab results and records of other tests for their loved ones. When we send a patient to a specialist we send their pertinent records with them and their family member, so how different is it to give them a lab copy?

A DPOA might be financial only. In that case you shouldn't share medical info with them.
