Smile Okay, so who's creative? Ideas for facility 4th July parade

My facility is going to have an inhouse 4th of July parade for our residents. Staff need to team up and create a "float" of some sort. Anyone got any ideas that wouldn't be too difficult or expensive to pull off? I only think with my left brain so I need help from right brain thinkers! In other words I have no creative talents. HELP! Thanks

Re: Okay, so who's creative?

"Founders float" with staff/resident dressed as George Washington, Betsy Ross, Ben Franklin etc

We The People:
Copy of Declaration of Independence and pictures of all the units residents ---create your own "Declaration of Independence" Document that all the residents can discuss and sign e.g.
"We the people of 4 south, in order to have liberty and justice for all promise to smile daily, offer words of encouragment, use please and thank you to staff and 4 South residents"

Flag Display:
Make up flags out of crepe paper glued to poster board from various times in US History with Real flag displayed in center. Residents can help create display as part of art therapy!

This should get your juices flowing...

A hospital where a friend works recently had a parade with "floats" made from copy paper boxes. Some were really cute!

gurneys and wheelchairs can be made into floats. Encourage your residents to participate by doing a bio on each one who has served in the military. Maybe family can provide old photos. Some women even served - and more served "at home", waiting on soldiers. You might google for "floats".
