Exclamation Can u believe my resident???

Ok, me and hubby have been trying for 3 years to have a baby. One of my residents came up to me and asked "When are you due???" I stepped back a second, and told her about trying, and that I wasn't pregnant. She then said "Oh, yes you are!!!". I took a test last night, and still negative. However, This happened to 2 other coworkers, and they are 5 months. I think our geriatric residents know things sometimes. What do you think?

Re: Can u believe my resident???

You said it happened to two others. Any times where she said that and it turned out not to be true? The way I see it, if she's 100% accurate, then cross your fingers and get ready for a lot of congratulations. Yes, I think that sometimes people, and not just the elderly, have a kind of "instinct" when it comes to things like that. Best of luck to you!!

Re: Can u believe my resident???

Healthy glow perhaps? Some women give off a healthy glow when they are pregnant, my sister always did. Others may have a similiar glow when not pregnant? Wish you conception, or hope you have conceived. All the best.

Re: Can u believe my resident???

In my experience, the elderly often do know-sometimes before we do! My grandmother hadn't seen me in a couple of months. She took one look at me and said "When are you due? I bet you haven't told your mama yet, have you?" THAT was an ackward day. Then, when I was pregnant with my second child I went to Fla. to visit my great aunt. I hadn't seen her since I was perhaps two years old. She gave me a hug, stepped back, and told me "You need to keep your legs closed girl!" She was right, too, I was newly pregnant-not showing yet. She said it because my daughters are Irish twins, only 10 months apart!

So, here's wishing you a well pregnancy. I hope your dreams are in the making.

Re: Can u believe my resident???

With everyone of my pregnancies my mother (she is 78) has called me on the phone and said "so when was you gonna tell me you where pregnant"....WHAT !!!!! Two I didnt even know about and the other 3 I never told a soul.... she just knew. When I ask how she knew.... "Cause Im your mama thats how"... And she has always told me the sex correctly. I am pregnant now and she called me the other day and told me she had a dream it was a boy... So I guess Im having a boy... I have always contributed this insight to experience and wisdom ... I dont know really but I cant keep anything from my mother....
