You will do well in nursing clinicals with your healthcare bkgrd; Telemetry Monitor Tech, Vampire [easier to spell, LOL], and CNA. Plus, your age will help, too. I noticed [I was in my mid 30's] the over 20's college students were the most serious... at least in nursing school(s).
Good luck & Welcome!

Welcome and Good Luck in nursing school. It's a tough program...and you just have to hang in there like we did. Your prior health-related experiences will help your greatly in school. Keep it up.

Boy, am I finding that out....it's almost like they're trying to make it harder than it has to be...sure, lives are at stake, but I don't get why it's bootcamp-ish, the wheat will get separated by the chaff anyway, no?

bootcamp-ish
My time in the ADN [Class of 1998], or RN-BSN program [Class of 2004] was no comparison to my time at MCRD San Diego back in 1980, LOL.

You remind me of me, when I was a young feller. Got my ASN one year ago--Woo-Hoo! It was hard work, and the first year of nursing has been harder still, but it it so worth it, and you're tough. I know that because not many wimps live to be as old as us.
When you graduate, I heartily recommend starting out in a place you know, with people who wish you well. After a few years of being an orderly who didn't mind pitching in to help out the nurses and aides and didn't complain when the "urp" and/or pucker factors got up there, I have been paid back in spades by the nurses and aides, and sometimes orderlies, who've helped me get through this.
Just thinking about it makes me almost sorry I'm off tonight, and yet, strangely, my phone is off the hook...
