im a fresh graduate..

hi,

Im a US immigrant in California and i took my nursing course here in the philippines instead and now Im going back in the US this year, and probably take my NCLEX exam. Is it still possible to take NCLEX even though im a graduate from other country? and Do I still have the same requirement for applying licensure by examination? tnx

Of course you can apply for licensure in the state of your choice (which is really what you're doing; writing the NCLEX is one step in the process). You'll just need to follow the instructions on that state's BON website about applying as a foreign graduate. There are additional requirements (for licensure) for foreign graduates.

Re: im a fresh graduate..

We are hearing here that CA has started, as of January '08, requiring that foreign trained nurses be licensed in their own country, so it's my understanding that yes, you would need to have taken (and passed) the NLE. However, the CA BON is the only entity that can give you a definitive answer -- just follow the instructions on their website for foreign graduates applying for licensure by examination.
