Army CST/CFA considering nursing career

I'm a 31 y/o male, currently deployed to Iraq, set to come home this summer. I've been in the Army reserve for almost 14 years, have been working in the OR for the last 13 years. I'm looking to become a nurse, mainly because there's only so far I can go as a CST/CFA. If I ever decide to leave the OR, I wouldn't have many options. I love what I do, but I'm not sure if I would be able to scrub as much as a nurse. I know it depends on the hospital, etc... Then there is the CRNFA option. I could keep doing what I'm doing, for one, I make more money than most starting RN's. But, I also realize that a lot of nurses don't do it for the money! LOL. But I should also consider the opportunities and ceiling pay. (Not to mention a commision as an officer in the Army). So, with all that being said, is there any advice for me out there about getting started? Thanks.
