Hey, I actually love this site. I read a lot of posts, although I don't usually have a lot to add. I learn a lot and I enjoy reading about what other nurses are doing and thinking.
I am going to join, because I don't want to miss out.
I was just surprised, that's all!
(I think this is the best nursing site on the web)

Why Premium Exclusivity?

This has been a nice forum to occasionally visit. It has been an occasional visit. I post on other forums on the web. Obviously advertising hasn't paid for you and you apparently want to earn more money - or is it possibly because the dollar has reduced in value.

If you were to open a business entrpeneur site within I might be tempted to take premium membership.

I wander if there were any views before you decided to move to this exclusivity? Or could I be informed of the real reason that you have had to do this?

The first I have known about such plans is today when someone has written to me to say how could I post on CE when not a premium member!

CE standing I suppose for Common Era - why not AD? :hatparty:

Is where to ask you questions and perhaps find some answers. There was a "site feedback" forum that was seen by moderators only, but it seems to be closed right now.

This is a nursing site, which many understand to be a secular activity. "CE" stands for "Current Events" here. You need to have more than 50 posts to be able to post in the CE area, and following the changeover, Premium membership will also be required.

I don't think the value of the u.s dollar vs european equivelence had anything to do with it....

Site feedback area working properly...Ted and I just checked!

In order to have continued success and help support the bb, asking for assistance from bb members. In exchange for their support, giving premium members the ability to have separate non-nursing area to have posting ability.
General membership will have viewing rights.

Exclusivity to me would be for the entire board to be fee based, which is something Brian has strived to avoid for 8 years now.

How many other quality NURSING focused bulletin boards with active international members and depth this site has on the www have survived?

Continuing to have all nursing related forums freely available to communicate to an international nursing audience is invaluable as our profession's POWER ability will surely be enhanced to realize what's happening "in my backyard/facility" may/may not be the "norm" everywhere AND that collectively WE HAVE THE POWER WITHIN EACH NURSE to effect positive change to enhance our profession.

Merging this thread with main discussion.

I think that is very special of Spacenurse and Tweety to give the premium membership to someone. Hopefully, those who receive the gift will pass along this act of kindness for someone else in need, and it does not have to be monetary.

I used to love when Oprah had those shows of doing something kind for someone and that person had to do something kind for someone else. All makes for a better place for us.
