You might ask your local Red Cross chapter if they can do "fast track" training--it's one day. I am going tomorrow to mine--they are having it every single day (that is, fast track classes) so that people can have a choice of what day to come in. The all day training at my Red Cross chapter will be from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.--then I will be good to go wherever they need me.
