I like this idea, too. Of course, being nurses, there's ALWAYS room for pens, too!!!!!!
These suggestions get my vote....

Perhaps implement a monthly drawing for Premium members to receive prizes such as pens, tote bag, T-shirts. Also there are websites that will put your name and logo on stuff nad set up your own "store" where we could buy Allnurses gear. Wouldn't it be great to be out shopping and see someone in an Allnurses T-shirt? As I recall, the store you can set up has hoodies, sweats, T-shirts, mugs, pens, pencils...
I also like the mentoring idea, I wouldn't mind mentoring a graduate nurse, perhaps match us up with the graduating nurse's field. As a supervisor in long term care, I may be able to help out a new LTC nurse.

I would love for us all to get together somewhere, even just for a weekend. Maybe somewhere warm, like Florida or Arizona or Cali?

Lori

Maybe the creation of a new forum as picked by members via a board poll vote.

Ok, time for me to catch some Zzzzzzs
I think this is one helluva outstanding idea!

Have a special forum from nurses that have been members for the ten years; their comments, etc...

Way to go 10 years!!!!! I love Allnurses just the way it is, but if there were some birthday prizes, I wouldn't object! (Or a free premium membership for moi!)

Maybe it's a little early yet to start singing, but I'll at least get it started...
Happy birthday to you...happy birthday to you... :hatparty:

Re: Discuss: allnurses.com is turning 10 years old soon! what should we do?

How about a short biography on the author which includes a chronological history of the early conception and creation of Allnurses.com?
It would also be interesting if you included a summary of how this website has affected your life.

I think I can speak for most of us and say that this website has been an inspiration and a valuable resource for nurses around the world.

Wish we could all give you a BIG HUG!
