How I remember the difference is ADEK...I equate it to: A Deck Of Kards are lipd soluable and the rest of them are water soluable. Much easier for me to remember it that way.

Lipid soluable vitamins are more prone to toxicity because they remain in the adipose tissue longer while water soluable vitamins basically need to be replaced more often and have a lower chance of toxicity. Most of the B vitamins help the nervous system. To be honest, the rest of them, I have to get back to reading them. But, vitamin A-retinol, usually red veggies such as carrots, sweet potatos replenish it, and retinol can be associated with retina- meaning a lack of it can cause visual disturbances. D is synthasized and works with C for bones, E is an antioxidant and K is for blood clotting. I have to admit that nutrition was a weak point for me, but, I can pull up information for the clients on the computer about the sources for the vitamins, so, I hadn't been so bad off.
