Need help with Erikson stage of demented (childhood state) drugged, dependent man.

All this guy did was moan and resist our actions... There was no way to discuss anything with him and his family says that when he's not sedated he's reverted to such a state that he asks where mommy and daddy are (he's in his late 80s).

How do I determine his Erikson stage since he's in the body of an old man but in the mind of a child?

Obviously, he's in the Infant (Trust vs Mistrust) stage. Erikson's stages cover the physical, emotional and psychological stages of development. So, physically he's an older adult. But, emotionally and psychologically he's and infant. And, that's how I would assess and describe him. Make sense?
