I absolutly loved her. she was the reason i wanted to be there to help. when people came in she would start singing amazing grace, no matter what u did with her wether it was a bath or time to eat she was wonderful. She had alzheimers(not sure of the spelling havent started nursing school yet lol) but she was my first loss. She died while i was on my shift and i got to get her ready for the family to come in the whole time i kept singing to myself at first but then aloud amazing grace cause her pain was finally over. she lived a long life and the last thing i heard her do was singing amazing grace. That is the most memorable time from my life. I cant wait to have those days when i feel like something i did made a difference. I realize this site is a stress reliever for some but I was beginning to get really nervous about nursing school with reading some of the threads worried that I wouldnt be able to handle the stress. Well Nursing school starts in 2 weeks and I cant wait
Thanks

Wow. I'm glad you got the chance to know and care for such a wonderful person.

My reason for entering nursing school isnt near as heartwarming.
