Inspirational Nurse: Healing the Children of Chernobyl

http://nurseradio.org/nurseradio/KathyDuffy.shtml

Healing the Children of Chernobyl
Kathy Duffy, LPN, is a holistic nurse with many years of ICU, CCU and Recovery Room critical care experience. She is an aromatherapy instructor and medical herbalist in private practice. Kathy is also the proprietor of The Herbarium, an herbal pharmacy, which she established in 1978. She is the U.S. representative of the “Friends of the Children of Chernobyl”, a licensed charity in Ireland. Since 1991, this charity brings children from the radiation ravaged areas of Belarus to Ireland for a month of clean food and water, medical treatment and dental care. This short holiday can increase the immune function of these children so they can reduce the impact of the inevitable risk of thyroid cancer, leukemia and blood diseases.
