On the note of NCLEX...not to be a downer here, but I am curious as I too will be facing it in the not to distant future. Has anyone ever gone through RN school, taken NCLEX and failed and then NEVER passed the NCLEX? Does anyone ever know if that has happened to someone?? Yikes!!

I forgot, I did do alot on Saunders also, however, I found Saunders to be too easy. I thought it was giving me false reassurance. Kaplan q's were the ones where I sat there and cried and thought I would never pass if I couldn't answer them correctly. To wait 48 hours was horrible, must of been pure torture waiting 3 days. But you know what? You are done and it's over. You can read a magazine instead of textbooks for the first time in a long time! Again, congrats and good luck in your new job! I'm going to PICU on 9/8 and am scared to death, but excited that my dream has finally come true.

hi epona! there are lots of people i know who have been thrugh RN school, taken the exam and failed. some of them were so crushed and never planned to retake..that makes them a failure.. but most of them were so determined, they took it anyway and passed.
the bottom line is, it doesnt matter if you have been through an RN school or whatever.. its just that you gotta believe in yourself.. keep in mind that you need to pass desperately that you're willing to get your butt kick.. so study hard and your hard work will soon pay off..

Hi stefano! No. I will NOT give up! I have never been a quitter. Never. So I do not care if it takes me 1 time or 7 times. Is there a minimum number of times you can take the NCLEX?? JFK. Jr. comes to mind here... three times to pass the bar (I believe it was)..... and he was a lawyer. He did it. I am a very good student so I am sure I will be Ok, but I have never been good at standard computerized tests... but I have faith.

I am scheduled to take my boards on Thursday 8/21/08, in 2 days. I have been doing Kaplan question trainer along w/the Martin Review, and Mosby RN review cards. I am so down about my Kaplan scores though. Test #1 = 51%, test #2 66%, Test #3 54%, Test #4 49%. If I am only scoring these numbers, do I even have a chance at passing NCLEX?? I'm really starting to freak out! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
