Thumbs up Re: Don't think you can do it, huh?

Thanks Holly for sharing your story. First, Congrats on receivng your RN. I have been a LPN for 13 years now and always wanted to go back and complete my RN. As a single mother of 3, I need to work full-time instead of going to school. I received great news a couple weeks ago, the facility I work at just implemented a new policy..tuition reimburstment. And they are pretty much demanding I go back and finish. Huge compliment to me. They really believe in me. So starting Jan. 08 I will take my first of many classes toward becoming an RN. I'm very excited. I know I'm a great LPN but we are limited to certain fields and cannot take charge(even though I sometime do it without the title). I work in a small hospital and I'm often the one precepting the new RNs. Your story made me smile. Thanks again for sharing!!!

A true inspiration story....(you too motorcycle mama). Makes me feel ashamed to complain about my background. With some Hard work...and God's blessings...amazing things happen. God brought some good people into your life to inspire you and encourage you....

thanks for that story!

Re: Don't think you can do it, huh?

your story is very inspiring. I am hoping to graduate from nursing school may 2008. I am 30yrs old, have two children, and my family never had money. I think it is more rewarding when you go up against the odds and win.

Congrats to you! I think that more people should have an outlook like you. I struggle sometimes with waiting to get into Nursing school because it is hard to just stagger there waiting. I won't think of Me ME me so much anymore because you certainly deserved what you ended up with!
