1. Nursing Polls Forum

We have created a new Nursing Polls forum to gather most of the general nursing polls that users have posted on the allnurses.com Bulletin Board. We have already moved 60 polls from the general nursing forum into this forum. Some polls are still better suited for a particular specialty forum, so we left them in those forums. To check out the new Nursing Polls forum

3. Death toll rises to 23 in Africa's Ebola outbreak.
Death toll rises to 23 in Africa's Ebola outbreak. A 16-year-old died of Ebola in northeastern Gabon, raising the death toll to 23 in an outbreak of the disease in two Central African countries, health officials said Wednesday. He was the sixth member of his family to die in the outbreak. His aunt, a nurse, caught the disease from a patient, then spread it to her mother, brother, two children and nephew.

6. THE NURSING PROFESSION ON NPR - RADIO PROGRAM

A new survey shows that enrollment in nursing programs is on the rise. But that doesn't mean that it's the end of the nursing shortage. Will there ever be enough nurses without fundamentally changing the medical system? Neal Conan talks with nurses and you about the future of nursing on Talk of the Nation from NPR News. (Originally aired on Jan 2, 2002.) The Program is approx 42 minutes long and well worth the listen. You can listen to the recorded program over the web.

Visit: http://allnurses.com/jump.cgi?ID=4176

You will need Real Player software to listen to the recorded program anytime on the web, which can be downloaded for free at:
