Hello to all future nurses,

I feel like I have been taking classes forever, and finally I am getting closer to my dream of becoming a nurse. Biology is my final prerequisite left to get in the program, and I am taking it this summer. I am aiming to start the N Program in Jan 09,

After this semster I will have completed all my classes if I want to enter an ADN program. I only had Microbiology left for the ADN program. I have five classes left of pre-reqs for the BSN program that I am going to be applying for. Hopefully I will get in for Spring 2009.

Hi! This is my very first AN post, ever!

I have Micro & Chemistry left, and if accepted on my first application, I hope to start Nursing School Sept. 2010!

If I were brave enough to take Micro this summer, I could apply for Spring 2009. But with the program being as competitive as it is here, I am more focused on pulling A's to up my chances of getting in on my first application.

Hi! I am taking my last prerequisites now: Pathophysiology, Microbiology and A & P II. I was excepted into a DEP that starts in May conditional on me finishing these prerequisites successfully.
Of course, I am terrified now that I took on too much and will blow it! I feel so blessed to have gotten into the school I wanted and to finally be able to start nursing school - I am just afraid I will not do well enough this semester (I have some VERY hard professors and these are the three hardest classes I have ever taken!). Please wish me luck - I need it!

Hi, I have one pre-req left, too. A&P II which I plan on taking this summer. Then I will be able to start the nursing program in the Fall, God-willing. In the fall, I'd be taking 1 nursing class, Microbiology, and English Composition.

I only have my biology classes left. There are three of them, and they are required to be taken in order. I am adding in some other classes that were not required to balance them out. It seemed like it would take forever to arrive at this point and now here it is! I will be finished in less than a year and ready to enter nursing school before next spring!

I have taken all of my pre reqs except Dosage Calculations. I wanted to take it this smester, but it filled up 2 hours after registration opened. There are only 2 classes for everybody who wants to be a nurse in Dallas County so they fill up super quick. I didn't need it to apply, and so I applied last month, and hope to get in and start in the fall.

I did have all of the prereqs done several years ago but I'm having to retake A&P and the math I took for my previous nursing program doesn't transfer to my new school (which is required prior to applying for the program).

So I have those two classes and the CNA class that I'll take this Fall. I'll be ready to apply in Jan 09 for that fall's program.

I am taking Patho and Pharm this term and then I apply. I am nervous!!!

I'm in my last semester of pre-requisites now. I'm currently taking Statistics, Nutrition, Interpersonal Communications, and Bio-Medical Ethics. I saved my easiest pre-requisites for last...and I'm super happy that I did that! I start nursing school three days after my last final...so no break! That's okay, though, because it's an accelerated BSN program and if all goes well during nursing school, I'll graduate by August of 2009!!!

I'm super excited now! haha
