who all is going to do LPN then RN?

Just wondered how many are going to do LPN then RN? my husband is going to go to Iraq (he's army) for a year so that gives me enough time to do the LPN school while he's away...plus i have a baby on the way in April so i can't start until this fall anyway.

i eventually want to do RN but the waiting lists are killer in my area so LPN is the ony chance i have in order to start within the next year...

anyone else? and where are you going to go?

I"m going to go to Miami Valley CTC, in Ohio

Hello! I am planning to do both. I was just accepted into an ADN program that starts this spring. The ADN & PN classes at my C.C are exactly the same in the first 4 terms. The only difference is that the PN program ends the ADN continues for another 4 terms.
In May 06' I am eligible to sit for the NCLEX-PN.

God Bless you, your husband & baby!

That's exactly what I'm doing. I got accepted into the LPN program starting in Sept. I took the NET, put in the application and got accepted within 2 weeks!

I looked into the other programs in my area and the wait lists were 2 years long to go RN direct but LPN no wait no prereqs and LPN-ADN bridge, no wait and I am doing the bridge pre-reqs while I'm waiting for school to start so I can bridge right away.
