What to expect?!?

I'm 20 and in college working on the last prerequisites before I can apply for the nursing program. My school has a very competitive program so I have to work my butt off just to get in, and then continue to do so once in. I was just wondering what to expect from the classes and the job itself once you complete them. I've been reading and I keep seeing everyone telling people that the schooling doesn't properly prepare you for what you will be faced with upon the completion of the program. The spring semester is about to end and then I'm either taking Micro or Human Bio 2 (A&P) in the summer and the other in the fall. Professors at my school highly discourage doubling up those two classes because of the length and the amount of work required. I just want to prepare myself for the nursing program. I'm starting to get nervous because I never really sat down and thought about what it entailed. I appreciate any advice, tips or feedback!
